Beyond ordinary. Help us choose a front door color. **Brewery Update**

We are making great progress with construction y’all!
New exterior lights have been installed, beautiful mid-century micro tiles have been discovered behind the T1-11 (plywood) at the entrance, of course we revealed all of it, and new front doors have been installed as well.

We made a post on social media asking our followers what color the front door should be and of all the colors ORANGE was the top response. Construction is getting close for us to paint the doors and have narrowed it down to two colors of orange. We are now asking to help us pick the final color of the doors you will open to come and enjoy delicious craft beer, play games, enjoy old friends and make new ones in our beautiful Downtown Brooksville!
Take a look at the picture of the front of the brewery and the two color samples in the photos below and answer the poll question of “What color should our front doors be? 1 or 2”.
The shrubs will go away and a deck across the entire front will be built with a modern yet classic mid-century appeal to really show off the unique architecture of this historic building.
Let us know what you think! We will compile all the responses and reveal the color Wednesday, August 23rd.

Earth Day Market @ BSBC

April 22, 1970. Imagine what this looks like. People weren’t zombified by cell phones or the internet, that today we can’t seem to live without; even for a minute.
Earth Day was inspired by a book written by Marine Scientist, Rachel Carson in 1962 called, “Silent Spring” which talks about the negative impacts that pesticides and human activity has on Mother Earth.
One thing every human on this planet shares…. EARTH.

On April 15th, 2023 Broad Street Brewing Company is excited for the monthly market to celebrate Earth Day with a variety of eco-friendly vendors including local honey, native plants, hand-made soaps, upcycled home decor, a 50/50 raffle and a lot more. Your bellies will be filled with an array of local bites from Potato Ballin’, Meat Stix and Silver and Smoke BBQ who will be serving plant based BBQ options in addition to the BBQ meat options.
There will be original live music provided by Profound Revelations Studios and free beer samples to those 21 and older with valid ID.

This event is FREE, kid friendly and pet friendly as long as they are both under control!
Market hours are every 3rd Saturday of the month October – May from 1-5 PM. Parking is available at the Hernando County Courthouse and along Jefferson Street and Ft. Dade.
Please check out our Facebook and/or Instagram for more information.

If you are a vendor and interested in participating in any of our future events, please send us an email with photos and a description of your creations as well as a link to your website or social media for consideration.

See you on April 15th!

We want to know….

As the 2022-2023 Market season comes to an end in May, we are already planning the markets for return in October – May and already booking!
We want to make the markets as fun and vibrant as possible! It is important to us that our vendors do well, our customers are happy and the market thrives!
Please take a second to respond to the poll at the bottom of this email, we greatly appreciate it!

A Note of Thanks!

We would like to thank everyone for coming out to the Equinox Market at Broad Street Brewing Company this past weekend!
Spring has definitely made it’s presence known, with flowers blooming, the sun shining brightly (and the heat already pounding). It was a great day filled with incredible local music provided by Profound Revelations Studios located right here in Downtown Brooksville at 316 West Jefferson Street.

Thank you to all of the vendors for always showing up and providing locally crafted items and to you for coming out and supporting the vendors, the brewery and our community! We love our community and watching the amazing things happening in Downtown.
Rumor has it we are even getting a distillery in Downtown as well as some really exciting things happening at the Weeks Hardware building on Main Street! Brooksville is becoming an art destination as well and we couldn’t be more proud of our sweet little Brooksville!

Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss the fun! Our next market is an Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 15th from 1-5pm. We will have local native plants, local honey, baked goods that will blow you away, hand-made soaps, furniture, home decor and more, ALL HAND-MADE, all local! We will be offering free beer samples to those 21 and older with valid ID.

Also, if you are interested in vending at any of our events, please send us an email with photos of your product and a brief description of what you make! We are always seeking to add new and unique vendors to our line-up!

See you all on April 15th!

BSBC Spring Equinox Market

Join us this Saturday, March 25th from 1-5PM in our parking lot for our monthly market. The theme for this market is Spring! Come out and join the celebration as we put away our jackets, warm socks and pull out our tank tops, bathing suits and plant our Spring gardens!
We were sad to have to reschedule, but it looks like the weather will be perfect; the reason we live and stay in Florida.

It is with great excitement that we welcome Spring. This is the perfect time to change out our home decor to fit the season with locally made home decor, get a relaxing chair massage to break the stresses of the week away from your neck and shoulders, and to enjoy free beer samples (to those 21 and older, with valid ID).

Live original music for the duration of the event provided by our friends at Profound Revelations Studios from right here in Downtown Brooksville, Florida. Brooksville’s only music recording studio that offers recording services for podcasts, music, rehearsals, and even a FREE song-writers workshop every Thursday night at the studio. (located at 316 Jefferson Street, Brooksville).

Come celebrate with us from 1-5pm at 291 East Jefferson Street, Downtown Brooksville. (In the Brewery Parking lot).
Lastly no, we aren’t open yet but we have been making some great progress over the last few weeks and are just waiting on some engineering plans for our outdoor patio! We can’t wait to share with you! We have not yet put a date on an opening, but as soon as we do – you will be the first to know!

We appreciate all of the love and support you have given us over this incredibly long year in the making. Slow and steady wins the race…. I know what I enjoy at the end of a race…. a nice cold beer!
See you Saturday, the 25th!
Cheers!

Krampus is coming….

Saturday, December 17th from 1-5PM

Who is Krampus? He’s half-man, half-goat (and you know how we love goats) who comes around every year and doesn’t exactly leave gifts under your tree. Austrian/German legend says he would come chase naughty children and sometimes drag them to the underworld with him. He has been frightening children for hundreds of years.
Krampus is the bad boy of the celebrations of winter solstice. Around early to mid-December this menace would come around and punish the bad kids. This day to the Alpine region of Austria and parts of Germany were known as Krampusnacht or Krampus Night when adults would dress up as Krampus to frighten the children in their homes to be well behaved.
Children may also have seen Krampus running through the streets during what is called, “Krampuslauf” of Krampus Run. The Krampuslauf which isn’t tied to a specific day, was a way for grown men to blow off steam and to get drunk and run through the streets dressed like a fearsome creature.
The Krampuslauf tradition continues in Munich and Austria today.

We thought we would have some fun with this Apline tradition and make our own twist on it.
On Krampusnacht we will have AXE THROWING, face painting, live music, several delicious food trucks, all local handmade items for your holiday shopping list and free beer samples for those 21 and older.

Check our social media links below for vendor highlights and some sneak peeks at the fun that will be had!

The Equinox Night Market THANKS YOU!

The fall Equinox is an important time for many cultures throughout history. It is a time that occurs when night and day are equal in length. This time marks the end of summer and the beginning of autumn.
In many cultures around the world it is still celebrated as a time of harvest, giving, and festivals such as the Chinese Mooncake Festival, Druids celebrate Alban Elfed (meaning “the light of the water”, and The Romans held a festival dedicated to Pomona, goddess of fruits and growing things.

However, the most famous ancient myth comes from Greece. In Ancient Greek mythology, the onset of fall is closely linked to the story of the abduction of Persephone, also called Kore or Cora. She was a goddess who was abducted from her mother, harvest goddess Demeter, and taken to the underworld to become the wife of Hades, the god-king of the underworld.
We celebrated with the inaugural Equinox Night Market with live music provided by Profound Revelations Studios, a recording studio located in Downtown Brooksville. Many vendors joined us as well as Potato Ballin’ Food Truck! We held our first raffle with lots of great items provided by the vendors of the market as well as local Brooksville businesses! It was a great event and we look forward to our next monthly market which will be held on Sat. October 22nd.
